Two Scandi gems unities for Fall/Winter19 and created sustainable hosiery for the fashion-forward as well as the conscious-minded consumer.

8 pairs of high-quality stockings made from recycled nylon are now available, they are bold with statement prints and created with the environment in mind. A collaboration that makes perfect sense since GANNI values an honest and transparent standpoint on sustainability and Swedish Stockings entire business core and production chain is based on circular fashion – being the first ever sustainable hosiery brand.

“I was shocked and had no idea how harmful and effect making regular stockings had on the planet. They are such a fashion essential that you reach for every day and so often throw away due to wear and tear. So we wanted to shout it loud. Using Swedish Stockings expert eco-friendly dying process, we put a GANNI spin on the everyday with fun, eclectic prints to bring something a little different to the mix than just your regular black stockings” – Ditte Reffstrup, Creative Director, GANNI

GANNI Creative Director, Ditte Reffstrup learned the harsh truth about the impact regular hosiery industry production has on the environment due to the use of petroleum – and an idea of a collaboration, joining forces with Swedish Stocking was born.

This collaboration offers consumers both fun and eye-catching prints as well as the opportunity to consume more sustainably and furthermore, reflect on the stockings we already have in our closet. Maybe its time to consider sustainable options without effecting the actual aesthetics.
